Official Yellow Fever vaccination centers are usually located in government-approved hospitals, travel clinics, major public health departments, and designated international vaccination centers. These clinics are specially authorized to give the vaccine and issue the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP)—often called the “yellow card.” Many countries require this certificate for entry if you are coming from or transiting through a Yellow Fever–risk zone. After getting the shot, the certificate becomes valid after 10 days, which means you must complete the vaccine at least 10 days before traveling. Once valid, the certificate is lifelong, and no booster is required for most travelers.
